FIRST - I will update you on the last post.  With all Hudson's crazy numbers the last week and adjusting our own insulin doses for the first time...  We finally had a REASON for all the crazy high numbers Hudson was getting... MEASLES!  I am still very confused as to why he got them since he was vaccinated  a few years ago.  He did have baby measles when he was a baby and his little sister just got over her baby measles a few weeks ago, but I didn't think that you could get them again, especially since Hudson isn't a baby.. but the Doctor told us that is what they were and now his numbers are a bit better to manage!

Now, on to our Exciting News!!!
Hudson has been chosen to be the Junior Ambassador for the Diabetes Dude for the Province of Alberta!
So very exciting!!
Some of the responsibilities of being a Diabetes Dude Ambassador are:

Ambassadors will be responsible for responding to emails through their email account on thediabetesdude.com in a timely manner.

Ambassadors must be available to provide support to other type 1 families in their area and be willing to encourage them to become more vocal about their diabetes as well as maintaining a positive attitude regarding their diabetes.

Ambassadors must be willing to meet with media to talk about their story and their ambassadorship through thediabetesdude.com

Ambassadors must attend local events to help local organizations spread diabetes awareness and promote thediabetesdude.com .  The Diabetes Dude holds no exclusive affiliation with any single organization willing to spread diabetes awareness.

Ambassadors must provide picture and their story of their diagnosis to thediabetesdude.com to be published on the site.

Ambassador must, at all times, provide positive feedback to and about thediabetesdude.com.  Negative references of any kind are not allowed.

Ambassadors are required to report, at minimum, quarterly updates on things happening in their area regarding diabetes.

Willingness to promote and share promotional products and items with thediabetesdude.com and other ambassadors.

Ambassadors must develop and share creative ideas to promote diabetes awareness through thediabetesdude.com

 An incredible way to raise awareness and offer support for other families who are also facing the same diagnosis as us!

We are very excited and are looking forward to meeting new families !!
