HAPPY EASTER! - From My Peeps to YOURS!

Happy Easter to my blog readers!!!

I thought I would share with you some of the things new and old that our family does for Easter!!!  If you know me well, you know that I love holidays!!!  I love the memory making that it involves and the surprise and wonder it brings.

This Easter will be no different from the rest.  Just because there is a new "member" in the family ( diabetes) doesn't mean that these traditions get tossed aside.  I thought I would give you a small glimpse into what we do on Easter... from Grandma Shuya's Traditional Easter Bunny cake.. complete with eye lashes.. to the Easter Egg Hunt.. from the Carrot trails.. to the Easter Bunny Cupcakes... here is a collection of recipes, crafts, ideas and fun from us to you :)

Maybe it is because of my heritage that I love Easter so much... Being Ukrainian I could never master the art of making these BEAUTIFUL Easter Eggs... but we do decorate eggs just the same... with regular dye.. which sometimes ends up "highlighting" our hair.. thanks to my sister, ONE of Hudson's 4 incredible Aunties.

Is this a sin on a Diabetes Blog? I think not!!!!  Hudson can have chocolate just like any other kid... just not as a snack. :)  But who cares!!!! This is MY Favorite Easter treat ( one of them anyways)  Easter Bunny on a Stick!

This year we bought the kids these UNIQUE Easter Bunny Wraps from a Canadian company called Lush.  An adorable way to wrap small Easter Items that will last for YEARS...Maybe my cuties will even pass them down to their kids ... SOMEDAY!
